It’s easy enough, but please don’t forget about two important things:

  1. Recording Level. If recording level is too high then sound will be clipped. You need to use Windows Volume Control to decrease it.
  2. Mute Unused Inputs. Please note that selecting the “Stereo Mix” input your sound recording software will record all sounds going through your sound card. Its very important mute all unused inputs, especially “Line In” and “Microphone” to remove background noise from recordings.
